- Students who graduate with a qualifying Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree—whether from the Virginia Community College System (VCCS) or a comparable accredited institution—on or after fall 2021 will arrive at Hollins with their general education (Core) requirements fulfilled, provided the degree includes a standard general education curriculum (typically around 60 credits). For out of state degrees, the Registrar’s Office will review and verify eligibility on a case-by-case basis. Students enrolled at a Virginia community college are encouraged to explore potential credit transfer and course equivalencies using the Transfer Virginia guides as a helpful starting point.
-
- VCCS students interested in transferring before receiving an AA or AS may contact us at transfer@hollins.edu to determine how courses will transfer and to guide your course selection.
-
- A student will receive credit for courses taken at a regionally accredited college or university that are comparable to Hollins courses; a grade of “C” or better must be earned to receive credit.
