Alison Ridley

Alison Ridley came to Hollins in 1991 after completing her Ph.D. at Michigan State University. Professor Ridley’s research interests include the Spanish picaresque and 20th-century Spanish drama. She has published articles on the Spanish dramatist Antonio Buero Vallejo and the picaresque novel Guzm├ín de Alfarache. She has also given papers at national and international conferences. Professor Ridley serves as an advisor to Spanish majors and first-year students, and is the faculty co-advisor to the Spanish House. She is also the faculty cosponsor of Sigma Delta Pi, the national Hispanic honor society.
