As part of the organization’s Global Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability department, Monica Osborne ’20 will spend the next 18 months engaged in customized professional rotations while receiving continuous leadership development, coaching, mentoring, and hands-on practical experience.
“The establishment of the Rutherfoord Center enables Hollins to build upon its strong foundation of experiential learning programs,” said Interim President Nancy Gray. “Bringing these programs together in a new way allows for more collaboration and interaction while at the same time expanding opportunities for students.”
LeeRay Costa, professor of anthropology and gender and women’s studies and director of faculty development, joined women leaders from across the U.S. and Canada to take part in the intensive, residential leadership development program. The HERS Institute was created to proactively fill the higher education pipelines across the U.S. with dynamic women and combat an undeniable gender gap.
The political science major completed three internships in Washington, D.C., another with a member of Parliament in London, and was active in Model UN and Model Arab League. She will be attending The George Washington University Law School this fall.
